Sasserfrass Hill Bee Farms is an active participant, and "bee-liever" in Bee Venom Therapy (BVT). The use of bee venom is widely recognized as an exceptional Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM).

Some people may shrink at the idea of being stung by a bee to be free from symptoms. We have seen first hand why people do it: results. We have seen remarkable improvement in our patients. To date we have helped Multiple Sclerosis patients, Rheumatoid Arthritis patients, and folks with injury-related aches.

Our sessions are also affordable. We offer the first intro-session at $20 - that includes a sheet on bee sting therapy, an introduction to the process, and one bee sting.

After that, when you know you are tolerant of the sting, the session is $15 and $3 a bee. Most clients have about 8 stings per session. Some require only one for relief.

The "sessions" start after the would-be patient has made sure they are not allergic to a bee sting. An allergic reaction is much different from a regular reaction.

For example, almost everyone can expect a sting to hurt for a moment, swell, turn color and itch. You were stung by a bee. But an allergic reaction is when you can go into anaphylaxis shock. So, there is a major difference. We are constantly told by our patients the momentary discomfort (and later swelling) is a small price to pay for the relief they've had!
